I’ve been smoking cigars since 1990, and back when I started, the humidor was mostly Dominican and Honduran. Those two countries raised me. Dominican smoothness and Honduran muscle taught me what a great cigar tastes like, and I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
Eleven years ago we lit up the first episode of the Meet in the Middle Cigar Show, and Hyacinth, Leander and I started taking notes. Every wrapper, every “wait, do you taste that?” moment went into the notebook. Fast forward past 500 cigars and I’ve got gigabytes of notes in GDrive.
