76 free subscribers. Zero paid. One comp I gave away because the work deserved a reader. That one does not count and I am not counting it.

Zero + 6 Months

Six months ago this publication had zero. Ten followers and an idea and a voice I was still finding. Today it has 76 people who gave me their inbox. Not their follow. Not their like. Their inbox. That is a different thing entirely.

Here is what the numbers actually say.

The writing is landing. But April added something new. Video.

“I Lost The Plot. The Cat Did Not.” was a live stream. I went live, cut the fluff in CapCut to save upload minutes, ran it through Descript to sharpen it, and dropped it. It pulled a 54.5% engagement rate. The highest of the month. That is not a coincidence. The live format is real in a way that polished production is not. People feel it.

More live. More unscripted.

More real.

The number is 76. The content is ready. The distribution is the job now.
